People of Earth... how are you?
People of Earth is a rock and roll cover band based in Napa, California. Founded in 2015, the band is focused on bringing the greatest and most beloved songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and beyond, to the people. Faithful yet fresh interpretations of classic tunes brought to life with sizzling guitar, sensational lead vocals, and solid as a rock rhythm section. Focusing not just on the top 40 hits from back in the day, the band also takes listeners deeper into the catalogs of classic artists such as The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, Neil Young, The Black Crowes and many, many more. Often detouring a bit into related genres like Blues and Americana, the band enjoys sharing with music lovers songs from the likes of John Prine, The Band, Ryan Adams, Little Milton etc.
The band, with over 90 years combined playing and performing experience, consists of:
- Lori Paladino on lead vocals. Her stellar talent and emotive singing often leaving audiences mesmerized and overcome with joy.
- Ken Hurst on guitar. Effortlessly navigating the band through the most delicate passages as well as leaving jaws dropped to the floor with amazing guitar pyrotechnics.
- Steve Grice on bass and Dave Solon on drums. Rhythm section extraordinaires, leaving no question where the groove lies.
- George Mieling on keys. Playing with such keyboard wizardry and rhythmic touch, the glue that holds it all together.
Since their debut performance in July of 2015 at Napa’s own homegrown music festival, Napa Porchfest, they continued on with with exhilarating and energetic performances at such venues as B.R. Cohn Winery, Sonoma International Film Festival, Reel Fish Shop, Red Hen Cantina, Downtown Joe’s and Billco’s Billiards. With each performance winning over new fans as well as welcoming back a loyal fanbase, People of Earth has quickly become the most exciting rock and roll band to come out of Napa in some time.
